I would be concerned that it takes 1 day for 2.4 million records because that isn't that much. I recently loaded over 24 million records in ~2-4 hours. You stated that you made the changes in RSODS_SETTINGS? What were they? In addition, I agree with the above to change the batch settings to 1 parallel job and also in the DTP choose process get all new data request by request.
